Three cars collide; 2 parties sustain minor injuries

PISMO BEACH, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2014) – Pismo Beach Police Department affirmed that two were injured in a rollover car accident on southbound U.S Route 101 just north of Five Cities Drive off-ramp, Monday, California Highway dispatch team reported.

The collision involving a green Ford Ranger and two other vehicles took place at 8:44 p.m.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office personnel called for the paramedics to attend to the parties who suffered minor injuries. They extricated at least one party, who was reportedly trapped in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.

The incident forced the No. 1 lane to shut down.

Four Corners Towing arrived to assist in the clearing of the crash site.

As of 9:55 p.m., the roadway was cleared.

Authorities will determine the motorist responsible for causing the accident once the investigation process is over.

At least one killed in traffic accident

LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2014) – A fatal accident occurred on the southbound Interstate 15 freeway near Railroad Canyon Road, Monday, California Highway Patrol Officers reported.

The collision, which involved an overturned vehicle, took place around 7:51 p.m.

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection-Riverside along with the paramedics responded to the scene and affirmed that at least one has been confirmed dead due to the incident.

As per the dispatch, a vehicle was spotted facing the wrong way upon the CHP’s arrival.

Officers mentioned that a witness initially reported that two cars possibly overturned. They added that another vehicle, which reportedly dropped objects on the road, might be involved in the collision.

The incident caused debris to disperse in the Nos 2 and 3 lanes and forced Railroad Canyon Road on-ramp to shut down.

Tow-trucks were requested to assist in the clearing of the crash site.

The incident remains under investigation.

Vehicle caught fire following head-on crash

VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2014) – A head-on collision that sent one vehicle on fire took place on State Route 1, Monday, California Highway Patrol Officials reported.

The fiery crash involving a dark grey Subaru Outback and a light grey Toyota occurred at 1:27 p.m near Rifle Range.

Officers affirmed that one of the cars involved in the collision caught fire. They added that a motorist reportedly fainted following the accident.

Ventura County Fire Department along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to at least one party who may have suffered injuries.

According to the report log, the fire was put out with an extinguisher.

A tow-truck was requested to assist in the clearing of the crash site.

The incident caused the southbound intersection to be blocked.

Authorities will determine the motorist responsible for causing the accident once the investigation process is over.

Semi-truck hits motorcycle in major injury accident

MONTEBELLO, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2014) – A major injury collision between a semi-truck and a motorcycle occurred on eastbound State Route 60 near North Garfield Avenue, Monday, California Highway Patrol Officers reported.

The crash took place at 3:59 p.m. when a big rig reportedly struck a motorcycle.

The fire department along with the paramedics rushed to the scene to transport the motorcyclist, who sustained major injuries, to Beverly Hospital for treatment.

CHP issued a Sig Alert at 4:19 p.m, forcing the Nos 3, 4 and 5 lanes to shut down.

Inter City Towing arrived to remove the damaged motorcycle away from the crash site.

As of 4:52 p.m., all lanes were opened.

The incident remains under investigation.

Pick-up truck runs red light, crashes into Nissan Altima

INDIO, CALIFORNIA (October 20, 2014) – A 2-car collision took place at the intersection of Adams Street and Fred Waring Drive on Monday, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

As per CHP, officers received a report about a red pick-up truck, running red light and crashing into a grey Nissan Altima at approximately 12:49 p.m.

California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to the parties who may have suffered injuries.
